Season 2 Up in the Air

It is unlikely at this point that NBC or any of its other stations will be picking up The Black Donnellys. The hope at this point is that another network will step to the plate and realize what they really have in this show. It’s one of the most talked about cancelled series’ on the web. Stations like HDNet have taken note of this. Also, word is this summer The Black Donnellys will be releasing the season DVD pack that will include an all new episode. More on that later.

NBC Forgets to Post New Episode

NBC.com as many of you are already aware, was supposed to publish the new episode of “The Black Donnellys” to their web site last night at 9 PM EST. Instead, the web department forgot to post the episode entirely. It was not until NBC received several thousands of emails that they then went ahead and posted the episode three and a half hours later at 12:30 AM EST. NBC seems to be pushing the Donnellys totally out the door, continue to sign the petitions to voice your opinions. Also, The-Black-Donnellys.net is proud to announce that after a busy month, we are zoning in on 100,000 hits to the web site. Thanks for reading!

NBC Ratings Fall

NBCs ratings have fallen over the past few weeks. It is the lowest they have seen in years. Of the major networks they are dead last in viewership. The reason for this? The cancelling of new and upcoming programs such as The Black Donnellys. When you are a network that can’t commit to any of your upcoming shows you will of course lose viewership. The shows that the viewers really like are being taken off the air and we are pledging to boycott networks like NBC who continue to take our shows off the air. So NBC we ask you to keep The Black Donnellys and other new shows that deserve a chance.

Why NBC Shouldn’t Cancel The Black Donnellys

Well, quite simply, The Black Donnellys symbolizes American culture. What every one wants to achieve but can’t quite attain. It’s a show full of snarl and grit. Our only free alternative to The Sopranos, on a less civil battle front. It’s a show that many people may not even watch just because of the nature of it, when in fact its a show that many people should watch strictly due to the nature of it. Four brothers uniting their family, brothers that would stop at nothing to protect those they love. It has action, romance, witt, and humor. It tells a tale that we all know so well, having to stick up for our own and what we hold dearly in our hearts. Granted we don’t goto the extreme of killing one another over it, well at least I can say I don’t, but it has passion something many shows of today lack. The crafty narration by Joey “Ice Cream” is second to none. It’s just another testament to how clever this program is. Given time and the chance, The Black Donnellys will be a main stay for the NBC network. Tens of thousands have signed petitions trying to save the show and it still seems to go unnoticed by NBC. It’s time for NBC to take a look at us and for us to take measures in saving what we truly love.

Not Much News as of Late

Hasn’t been much for news coming from anywhere the last few days. The Donnellys have been doing pretty good in the ratings on ITunes.com which is great as NBC has got to take some notice of this. Keep downloading the episodes and keep watching on http://www.nbc.com as for those of you that are asking about getting a Save the Donnellys t-shirt. You can get one here.

The online petition is still going strong, with over 26,000 signatures now! If you haven’t signed, be sure to put your name on there as well.

We are all working hard to save this show. Writing to NBC, signing the petition and watching new episodes on nbc.com are all ways to show support. Billy Lush (Kevin) has said that the best way to save The Black Donnellys is to watch it on NBC.com as new episodes come out. This will show the executives the popularity and willingness of fans to continue to watch the show. The T-Shirts have been selling well, so we can tell that people still care and are supporting the show the best they can.

Be sure to write a note to nbc, and post it in our thread.

The petition is now at 23,000 signatures. Adding 7,000 in just the last few days. Be sure to continue downloading the episodes on NBC.com and for those of you out of the United States goto http://www.itunes.com and pick it up. Through downloading NBC can see how many people are truly watching the show. Also, Black has been added to the Save the Donnellys tshirts list on the left side. Well, as you may of heard we made it all the to the front page of DIGG Monday night during the airing of the Black Donnellys on NBC.com. This exposed us to over 100,000 people! Just what a petition needs. It worked so well in fact we will be doing it EVERY Monday night when the Donnellys air a new episode, so come back and be ready to DIGG. We also have Save The Donnellys t-shirts available, there are multiple shirts just click the one on the left hand side to see them. Black Donnellys Petition over 16,000!

The continued support for The Black Donnellys has pushed the petition to over 16,000 signatures. This doubles the 8,000 that were listed just two days ago! For reference, Studio 60 only has 18,000 signatures and the petition has been online since October.

If you’ve signed all ready, be sure to get you friends and family who enjoy the show to sign as well. If you haven’t signed the petition yet, now is your chance.

Save the Black Donnellys

In an effort to save the Black Donnellys we must continue to write NBC executives telling them the reasons to keep it on the air. Make sure to tell everyone you know to watch the Black Donnellys every Moday night at 9pm EST and to also watch all of the episodes that are from past weeks. Let all the Black Donnellys fans you know read this article to help in the fight to save our favorite program from being a 6 week trial. The more we stir things up the closer NBC will look at things.
