Season 2 Up in the Air

It is unlikely at this point that NBC or any of its other stations will be picking up The Black Donnellys. The hope at this point is that another network will step to the plate and realize what they really have in this show. It’s one of the most talked about cancelled series’ on the web. Stations like HDNet have taken note of this. Also, word is this summer The Black Donnellys will be releasing the season DVD pack that will include an all new episode. More on that later.

We would all love to see TBD get a second season! We’ve picked up the Letter Campaign with full force.
I wanted to leave this for those who aren’t informed. Also visit: http://boards.nbc.com/nbc/index.php?showforum=80 and post how much you have sent, so we can keep track. Our goal is $1000.

We are giving the letter campaign a jump start, but this time instead of NBC our letter will be going to HBO. Below is an awesome letter submitted by our fellow Black Donnelly fan and board member IWATCHTHEBLACKDONNELLYS. All the information you need is included. You can copy and paste the letter, tape your quarter, sign your name and drop it in the mail. We want them to go out this Friday morning (June 1st) so that they will be recieved early next week. We ask everyone to at least try and send one letter and one quarter. For those of you that can send more, great! Lets get this done for our boys, they deserve a second season just as much as we do.

I am writing this letter today to express my support in bringing back the recently cancelled NBC drama, The Black Donnellys, back on the air. I know that you have played a large part in adding great series such as The Sopranos and Oz to HBO’s television programming. I hope this letter will create interest for you in investing in The Black Donnellys.
I’m aware that NBC will not do much more with this series. NBC will continue to have ratings woes as they continue to alienate their viewers with bad programming decisions. I would love to see this intelligent and intriguing drama survive. I hope you would be able to help.
The Black Donnellys has acquired a tremendous and loyal fan support. We have created a “Save The Black Donnellys” campaign and believe that series would be a great fit for HBO.
