Tom Guiry in Upcoming Movie
March 31st, 2007 by Greg

Tom Guiry will be in the upcoming movie “Superheroes”
Superheroes is set in New York City and centers around a 13 year old from Brooklyn (Sammer) who occasionally travels into Manhattan with friends to steal video cameras from tourists. Sammer is a slightly quirky, fantasy prone teenager who lives alone with his blind foster mother and has plans to leave the city. As soon as he can save enough money, be released from probation and help his foster mother to regain her failing vision, Sammer intends to travel to far away lands and explore the world, a world he sees primarily through the stolen videotapes of tourists. As we learn about Sammer and his working class neighborhood, we are introduced to other characters who weave in and out of his life, characters that include: a juvenile probation officer who doesn’t like juveniles, an ex-con who steals puppies and a street prophet who’s trying to commit suicide. Superheroes is a quirky story about many people and many things, incorporating a fragmented narrative, found footage and other people’s home video footage. It’s the story of ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary circumstances, blurring the line between being human and being superhuman. (From IMDB.com)

“Ice Cream” Pulls a Quick One?
March 30th, 2007 by Greg

The conspiracy theory. I’ve been reading around the internet that some people believe that Joey “Ice Cream” may be in actuality telling a huge lie. He is seemingly in every place that the Donnellys are, and most of the time its for no particular reason. Many believe that he is drawing up this elaborate story to have something to feed the cops as he is held, and in any moment you will meet the real Donnelly brothers, nothing like he had said. This could be a great twist to the plot as it would send evertihng out of whack, however the way I see it is that Joey is telling the truth the best a liar can. He is being some what truthful with the officers and I believe that although some things he says do seem a bit out of whack hes telling it the best he can.

Why NBC Needs to Continue With The Black Donnellys
March 29th, 2007 by Greg
Well, quite simply, The Black Donnellys symbolizes American culture. What every one wants to achieve but can’t quite get. It’s a show full of snarl and grit. Our only free alternative to The Sopranos, on a less civil battle front. It’s a show that many people may not even watch just because of the nature of it, when in fact its a show that many people should watch due to the nature of it. Four brothers uniting their family, brothers that would stop at nothing to protect those they love. It has action, lromance, witt, and humor. It tells a tale that we all know so well, having to stick up for our own and what we hold dearly in our hearts. Granted we don’t goto the extreme of killing one another over it, well at least I can say I don’t, but it has passion something many shows of today lack. The crafty narration by Joey “Ice Cream” is second to none. It’s just another testament to how clever this program is. Given time and the chance, The Black Donnellys will be a main stay for the NBC network.

The Story of Four Brothers.
March 29th, 2007 by Greg
Well, for anyone who hasn’t yet caught on to the show and what it is about, it stars four Irish brothers Jonathan Tucker as Tommy Donnelly, Tom Guiry as Jimmy Donnelly, Billy Lush as Kevin Donnelly, Michael Stahl-David as Sean Donnelly and also stars Olivia Wilde as Jenny Reilly. The story is told by wanna be gangster Joey “ice cream”. The show takes place in New York’s underworld of organized crime. The group must grow up quickly as they have no choice but to kill Huey, the leader of the Irish in New York as well as the leader of the Italians, and must cover their tracks not to get caught by the Irish or the Italians.
